Welcome to Myles' Neighborhood Outreach (formerly Showers of Blessings). Rooted in the heart of Bethany United Methodist Church, this ministry is dedicated to loving our neighbors experiencing homelessness by providing practical support, genuine community, and unconditional kindness.

Our Story & Mission

What began as a simple showering ministry started by the Forward Together Sunday School Class has blossomed into a comprehensive outreach program. Today, our mission is growing rapidly—offering food/snacks, hygiene supplies, showers, clean clothes, resources and a safe space for connection.

We proudly dedicate this ministry to the memory of Myles, who grew up and was active here at Bethany. Myles lived his life with a deep passion for serving others. Whether he was donating skateboarding gear, distributing hygiene kits downtown, or simply sitting to chat with a neighbor in need, he believed everyone deserved to be treated with dignity.

When we asked our neighbors that participate in our outreach what this ministry meant to them, the phrase "Neighborhood Outreach" was the clear favorite. We aren't just providing services; we are building a neighborhood outreach of care.

Knowing that Myles' legacy of compassion and service continues through this work means more than words can express. We truly believe he is smiling down on the care, dignity, and support provided to our neighbors each month.

33 Neighbors joined us to share a warm meal and fellowship.
22 Neighbors received fresh supplies and access to hot showers.
